Celebrating 35 Years of Impact!
The 2022-2023 season marked a remarkable milestone as we proudly celebrated MCPE's 35th anniversary. We were thrilled to bring back the eagerly anticipated Fall Ball, held in person for the first time since 2018 at the iconic Gillette Stadium. This event was nothing short of a resounding success, radiating joy and unity throughout our community.
Fall Ball and Anniversary Appeal: Our Fall Ball marked the kickoff of our Anniversary Appeal, where we joined forces with our schools to fund ambitious projects that will make a real difference in our students' educational experience.
Our Goal: We set an ambitious target of raising $100,000 by the end of this school year to bring these vital improvements to life. Each of the five Medfield schools had unique projects in mind, and we were determined to support them.
Community Unity: Thanks to the unwavering support of our community and the success of our "Paint the Town Blue" campaign, we proudly achieved our goal, raising $100,000 for our schools. Each school received a generous $25,000 grant to invest in their special projects. It was an incredible achievement, made possible through the dedication of our board members and the boundless love from our community!
The five special grants included:
Adding new accessible components to the Memorial School playground.
A complete renovation of the Wheelock School stage, transforming it from storage space into a vibrant performance area.
A movable soundproof partition in the Dale Street School library, enhancing flexibility and utility in a limited space.
New auditorium seating for the Blake Middle School, replacing outdated and damaged seats.
A new speaker system for the Medfield High School auditorium, completing a comprehensive stage and sound system upgrade.
Moreover, our Anniversary Appeal surpassed all expectations, allowing MCPE to honor its commitment by granting $100,000 to our five Medfield schools. Together, we've made an enduring impact on our students' educational journey. Here's to the next 35 years of enriching education in our community!
